 Navy Children School, Porbandar: 

Navy Children School, Porbandar is functioning with Nursery, Kindergarten and Classes I to IX. It is a co-educational school. This school is following CBSE curriculum.  Later on once the school would get affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, it would prepares students for the examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

The Academic Session of the school spans from the First Monday of April of the year to the Last Friday of March of the next year.

 

Syllabus and Curriculum:

The medium of teaching in the school is English. The school follows the same syllabus and curriculum as followed by other Navy Children Schools located at various other units of the Indian Navy in the country. Computer Science is taught from Class I. In future the school will offer Hindi and Sanskrit as second language option in Class IX and X. Sanskrit  is also taught as third language in Class VI to  VIII. The school also intends to offer in future Science, Commerce and Humanities Streams in Class XI and XII once set up and affiliated with CBSE. Computer Science will be offered as an elective subject for students of Class XI (Science Stream) and Informatics Practices (IP) for students of Class XI (Commerce Stream). The curriculum will also include vocational training, such as, Needle Work, Carpentry and Pottery,  for students of secondary classes as SUPW.

 

Co - Curricular and Extra - Curricular Activities: 

The school following a House System. The school has various activities for students, such as, Hobby Clubs, Field Trips, Nature and Adventure Camps, etc. The school will also regularly organize various competitions amongst the Houses, such as, Elocution, Debate, Quiz, Music and Recitation, etc. These activities are being evaluated and graded. The school publishes  annual magazine. 

The School functions on all days (Monday to Saturday except Second Saturday) of the Month.
